Post & Rail Fencing

Post and rail fencing is a great way to create a fantastic look and improve the overall aesthetics of your property. The versatility of our timber fence kits also means you can use them for a range of different purposes. Aesthetic fences for homes, animal enclosure/paddocks, and new subdivision fencing are all common uses. We also have more economical options for commercial properties, parks, and gardens.

All of our posts and rails are hand-selected to suit the needs of the project at hand. They are then processed using superior machinery and systems, to ensure a quick turnaround from the time of ordering. We cut the mortises into the posts so there is enough slack between the holes and rails to create curves, go over hills and down slopes, and create angles for setbacks or changes in the direction of the fence.

Each of our perfectly morticed holes offers through (intermediates and intersecting posts), halfway (ends, corner, or intersection posts), or cutting into the corner of a post for any 45° angles. The rails simply butt together in the centre of the posts, so no fixings are required. The top of the posts can be cut into a range of designs, with our standard design chamfering on all four sides of the posts. It is important to cut the top to help seal the end grain and prevent checking (timber splitting) although we can leave them “raw” or square cut for a rustic style.
